Background

We were founded in 1967 as the Merton Family Housing Trust, supporting those in south London who needed a home. Their aim was to provide homes for families who faced homelessness, no matter their background.

We have grown into an organisation and now have over 7,500 homes across nine London boroughs with over 250 members of staff.

We provide homes for rent, both social and affordable, shared ownership, outright sale and supported housing. We also own a small portfolio of commercial properties and garages.

We support people across south London who need a home and provide homes to be proud of and services our customers can trust.

Our Corporate Strategy

We launched our new corporate strategy in April 2025, and we have refined our three strategic themes to deliver by 2028 as:

Values

We have five shared values. These values are what we stand for and what we expect from our people. Our values are the statements we hold ourselves and others accountable to and are a reminder of the promises we make to the customers.
